The challenge

The big ask: Bring an all-new look and feel to Co-op stores with both new fixtures and retrofits to existing equipment. Improve navigation through the store. Invigorate the self-serve food-to-go shopping experience. Inspire shoppers with best-in-class fresh food merchandising while making it simple and fast to shop.

Success factors

• Collaboration between Displayplan and the Co-op Design created intuitive zoning for category destinations.  
• Fresh and appealing materials pallet applied to a modular technical solution for all zones. 
• Previous custom build approach for each store was replaced by use of a modular system created by our technical team.
• End-to-end partner for concept design through to store planning and build.
