Blackhawk Network, a global provider of branded gift card products wanted us to support growth into one of their UK retail partners, Morrisons.

 

The Vision

Create standout product awareness and increase shopper dwell time at the display. Create a third-party revenue opportunity via advertising using screens in-store.

 

The Solution

On-site Digital: Managed Digital Signage

 

18.5-inch smart screens in a custom shroud retrofits to existing store equipment. A hotspot directly below the screen created an area for highlighting monthly featured gift cards.

 

Working with Blackhawk’s marketing team and promotional calendar Displayplan manage content across all sites, monitor screen status and run a maintenance plan to ensure everything is working as planned.

 

All screens and connected via 3G and content are controlled via Connie, Displayplan’s intelligent content management platform.

 

The Benefits

The addition of a digital screen drove overall sales uplift across all card categories by 25% returning the display investment within 6months.

 

Blending prime ‘hotspot’ placement with on-screen content has delivered 60% sales uplift for featured gift cards.

 

Device monitoring and a full-service maintenance programme ensures a 95-98% compliance rate over the 300+ estate which is a significant improvement on a previous printed poster deployment model.
